I used many collections of horn solos through the years. The music is usually transcriptions or music from obscure composers. Perfect Solos for Horn has only horn music, no transcriptions. The pieces are great horn solos which have been reduced in some way for the student. Some have cuts, some have been transposed and some have been simplified. All of them work great for Solo and Ensemble Festival for high school or any other competition. I even include all the measure numbers and an extra judge's horn score! As an occasional recitalist myself, I often want another 3-4 minute piece that won't be too taxing to add to the concert. These solos are perfect for that as well. The solos are just enough easier in range to keep your chops fresh for your bigger pieces.
